Courtney founded Furman Architects, Inc. in 1998. Since then, he has created living and work environments for numerous clinical, corporate office, educational, housing, recreational, and retail clients. Each client has their own goals and needs for their project, Courtney is driven to find the right solution that fits each client's goals and needs. He is working locally and regionally on projects in the medical, commercial, educational, industrial, religious and residential arenas.

Ray's twenty-three years of experience in the practice of architecture includes eleven years as a design business owner. During those years, Ray has been the lead designer for 100+ buildings; six commercial buildings receiving national awards and five residential homes receiving local awards. He currently leads the Furman Architects' Sheedy Watts Studio in Charlotte and is an adjunct instructor for the Interior Architecture program at Queens University of Charlotte.

Cale is a licensed and registered Pharmacist in North Carolina.  His 20+ years of experience as a health care professional provides a unique perspective when creating healthy and inviting environments for clients. This perspective generates spaces and details that capture the personality and culture of each client. Currently, Cale is working on medical, commercial and residential projects in NC, SC and GA.
